CHALLENGE ARUBA
Challenge Aruba, scheduled for October 20-22 this year, is an endurance festival that challenges participants to set high goals and not quit until they reach them. 2016 was the first year this event was held, and it was a huge success. Here’s the run-down of this year’s races:
Half-Triathlon. This race includes a 1.9km swim that is a single lap course in the crystal clear blue Caribbean Sea starting on world-famous Palm Beach; a 90km bicycle circuit where riders complete three (3) 30km laps along the Aruban Coast, with gently rolling hills providing a subtle challenge for athletes. Riders head north from Palm Beach towards Malmok, Arashi Beach and the famous California Lighthouse before following the coast back to Palm Beach; and a 21km running segment that is flat, fast and beautiful. The run circuit takes place entirely along the white beaches of Aruba. Three (3) 7 km laps alternate between The Strip and the beach path in front of the exclusive hotels of Aruba that define the Palm Beach area. The finish line will be located on the boulevard at The Hyatt Regency Resort. This race can also be entered by relay teams. Find out more information in our blog
